Artist: Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer
These two women perform both separately and together. They are perhaps best known as children's musicians, but they play for grown ups too. I have only one song of theirs, but it is so good that, sometime when I have some free money, an album by them is something I shall buy. The one song is a Lou & Peter Berryman number called "The Speculator", and it is cute and funny, and could pass for a children's song were it not for the last verse. (The last verse has a naughty word! Ooooooooh...) You can hear this song on the double-CD set Follow That Road, my favorite folk compilation ever and a definite desert island pick.
Here is something that passes for a website. Someone who's feeling authoritative on Fink & Marxer needs to make them a more extensive site.
