Artist: Cheryl Wheeler

The liner notes to her Driving Home album contain a remark from a reviewer, who says that the minute you hear her music, you want to be her friend. This is so true. :) Cheryl, are you out there? Want to come over for a cup of tea?

Anyway, Driving Home is a great album, I never get tired of it. Especially "75 Septembers", which, incidentally, has been recorded by Peter Paul and Mary, but I knew that song before I heard it at one of their concerts, and I felt proud and in-the-know). The other Cheryl Wheeler album I have is Mrs. Pinocci's Guitar, and I never get tired of that, either. Her voice is so warm and beautiful! But my favorite recorded bite of Cheryl Wheeler sound is the live version of "Arrow" on the Turn of the Decade Newport Folk Festival tape. I melt every time it comes on. Ahhhhh.

To begin your quest to become Cheryl Wheeler's friend, you should visit the official unofficial website. (It's maintained by a fan with her blessing and input.)
