Artist: Greg Brown

Greg Brown is a singer-songwriter from Iowa. Many of his songs contain terribly funny lyrics, such as "All The Money's Gone" from In The Dark With You:

We Americans, we are so easy to please:
A loaf of bread, a jug of wine...and fifty thousand dollars...

My favorite Greg Brown track, however, is not on either of the two albums by him which I own. It is on the Newport Folk Festival 1990 tape; it's a live version of "Good Morning Coffee", in which he gently urges his non-morning-person sweetheart to wake up. I am not a morning person, and I think my life would be perfection if I could just get someone who would sing me awake with this song every day.

Here is the closest thing I've found to a Greg Brown website - if you find a better one please let me know!

Update: Look! Someone sent me a better Greg Brown website.
