Artist: Kristen Hall
Another singer out of Georgia, Kristen Hall toured
with the Indigo Girls before striking out as a solo performer. I have two
of her albums, Fact and Fiction, which was originally recorded on
Amy Ray's Daemon label and
later rereleased by High Street, as well as Be Careful What You Wish
For. I love Fact and Fiction a whole lot! Especially the song
"Peaches"! Be Careful... is a tiny bit overproduced for my taste,
but it has its moments. It's not her fault, though; she says it was a
long battle that she just ended up losing.
More recently, she has released the cassette Thumbprints through Daemon,
which is a staple in my car, and there's a CD out called California Made
Songs. And in January 2001, she recorded a live CD at the legendary
Atlanta establishment Eddie's Attic. I haven't got that one yet, but I'm
looking forward to listening to it. I really like my music live.
You can find more info on Kristen Hall at Daemon's
